Although he is no longer able to pot,Ray Dunn is one of our founding members of East Dorset Potters. He first became involved with pottery through Amersham Pottery and Sculpture Society and exhibited with them regularly.
Trained as a furniture maker, he also taught wood and metalwork, and you can see those skills in his thrown and turned work.
He worked mainly in stoneware, both throwing and slab building. Ray says ‘I love the English countryside, and enjoy drawing and painting it in watercolours; I try to reflect those same subtle colours in the glazes on my pots.’
